Advanced Movie Clip node crashes Render to Disk

Post by Christian Krix Schmidt » 19 Apr 2012, 08:55

I have encountered problems with Render To Disk in both Interactive and time-based mode when using Advanced Movie Clip nodes in my scenes. More specifically, if the Enabled property of an advanced movie clip node is animated and if Async Loading is activated, the Render to Disk functionality always crashes during (re)validation of the scene before the actual rendering happens. I tested this several times and I was only able to get Render to Disk to work reliably by having all Advanced Movie Clip nodes enabled all the time (no dynamic loading/unloading!!) and async loading being deactivated as well.

Hi Mr. Krix!

I will check this! I have to maintain the R2D stuff anyway.

Best Regards
Karol

Funny!
Can't reproduce this here. Tried different movies...
What does the error say exactly? Log file!?
Could you give us more setup details:
Movie details, playout settings?

Grüß Gott!
Karol

I sent you an Email with example clips and an example scene. Makes more sense this way.
