How to use two computers and two graphics cards display?

Post by xd21303 » 02 Apr 2013, 09:51

Hi everyone,

I've got lots of questions!

Two computers and two graphics cards, how to make each computer display each half, and then makes up a complete picture?

For example, the overall resolution is 5120*1600, output resolution is 2560*1600 each computer, one on the left and one on the right, joined together.

The project resolution is 5120*1600? How to export? Export one vpr file or export two vpr files?

vpr files need two computers at the same time double-click to open it?

Thanks for your help!

Hey there,

You should read the following Usermanual pages. There is a HowTo Cluster rendering guide and a general page about SceneManagement in Ventuz.

The best approach to scalable clustering is by using one scene that adjust itself beased on the System ID. Set the System ID in the Machine Configuration to 0 for your first machine and 1 for your second. Add the System ID node to your scene and based on the ID offset the scene. You can do that with a Render Target, ProjectionCenterX offset or just an axis. It totally depends on your scene and the way you want to work. But this way you can use either two or 20 machines.

I know how to use the System ID node to offset now . But what resolution of the main scene is ? 5120*1600 or 2560 *1600?
If 5120*1600,running on 2560*1600 machine will cause stretch . if 2560*1600,it is not convenient for design.
