Hello everybody!
I need to use 5 different audio outputs, is it possible to install several sound cards in server to use separate audio channels in ventuz?

havnt tried that, but i allready used rme and motu soundkarts with more than 1 stereo output. but it should be possible to use more than just one soundcard in a system

take care, that you need soundcards with wdm drivers! test everything before you buy!

Another workaround is using a dts-wav which you can import into Ventuz.
Google for Minnetonka Surcode DTS.
This software produces dts-wav's containing 5 compressed (lower compression than ac3) channels + one for subwoofer.
Soundquality is excellent.
Output this stream through digital-out of your soundcard.
For playback you need a cheap homecinema-system with DTS-Decoder.

many greets,
Stephan

And to answer the original question, yes it is possible to install several soundcards. They can be addressed in Ventuz as the different ordinals in the audio output properties. I believe Windows can handle up to 8 outputs - but I am not sure on that number.
