problems with 9600 x 1080 output

Post by in_ty » 20 Apr 2013, 23:59

Hi everybody! Recently we've bought firepro w9000 to test 5FullHd output. 4 monitors works well, but I can't connect the 5th one, windows gives a mistake. I change monitors, but only 4 works at the same time, while 5 connected. Did someone faced such kind of problem?

hi intY

is it impossible to activate more the 4 screens or just impossible to make a group? are you using active display port adapters? could be, that you can not activate all outputs when using just passiv ones!

we are running a installation in china with a total resolution of 14400*1280 with 5 outputs without problems!

Hi, maybe only the fifth of the Adapters is passive?
To activate the Eyefinity-Group just use Output 1 an 2, and deactivate Screen 2.
Next step is to use out 1 and 3 and deactivate 3
Then 1 and 4, deactivate 4, 1 and 5, deactivate 5, 1and 6, deactivate 6.
After all connect all the 5 outputs (only No.1 is activated) and create the Eyefinity-Group.
This setup-solution is tested.

Yes, you all were right, the problem was with two passive adapters, now everything is ok! Thank you!

Hi,I also setup a high resolution with 4 display and I use the W8000.However,I find that the video adapter is really very hot when running program more than 1 hour.Because every output is a HD singnal and the program is a real time 3d render application, are you sure the GPU is overburden for long time is OK ?
