Dear Ventuz forum,
quite often we have this error message while saving. The error occurs from projects of a complexity starting at 40.000 nodes upwards.
"Project Manager Error
Save operation failed because there is insufficient process memory avilable (...)
"
Actually we are still using the 32.-bit version. Does the 64-bit version handle this task significantly better ? Can we already use the 64-bit in production or is it still a bit beta ?
kind regards, Daniel

Re: Project Manager Error
Hi Daniel!
This is a problem of 32bit .net application. In such a case your application has only access to 1.4 Gb Ram.
Unfortunately saving a scene needs an addition amount of memory which grows with the number of nodes. If the sum exceeds the 1.4 Gb limit, the application crashes.
If you work with such large scene you have to disable 'Undo' but this is not a real help.
The only real solution is to switch to Ventuz 3 x64! This version is not Beta! Ventuz 2008 x64 was Beta.
But keep in mind that Ventuz x64 does not contain the Web Browser and Quicktime nodes.
Best Regards
Karol

Re: Project Manager Error
Hi Karol,
is there any plan to have a 64-bit web browser integrated in the near future. Cause this will be a big problem for us to go on to the 64-bit version in this project.

Re: Project Manager Error
Hi Daniel!
We definitely plan to have 64bit version of the Web Browser node. Unfortunately we depend on the Chromium project which is the basis for our node.
Currently there is no 64bit build available but afaik the guys have this on their roadmap.
Best Regards
