Hi Luke,
i guess it depends on the center position of your objekt.
meaning, if you have an rectangle (x == center; y == center) so it will zoom from center.
same on an 3D object.
guess there is no way around.

as i remember, there is an logfile, wich is discribing the loading process of the default scene.
