Version Control
Hi Ventuz Forum! I'm sure we're not alone in using a number of different tools and environments as part of our projects - Visual Studio, Unity, Adobe CC, Cinema4D and of course Ventuz. We currently use quite an 'old fashioned' version control system that has a local server hosted on our premises. It...

Ventuz 4 End of Life
Hi there,
I've a question on behalf of a client. When will Ventuz v4 reach end of life and become unsupported?
Cheers,
Craig

Re: VR Solutions
Could this be the same OpenVR issue as identified in this thread?

I'd suggest contacting Dennis in support to see if he can advise.

Craig

Re: HTC Vive controllers
Karol has kindly supplied a hot fix that corrects the problem for me.
It's probably a good idea for any one else struggling with the same problem to get in touch with Support directly!

+1.
This bug has completely stalled a new project for us. I'm currently investigating using Unity instead to delivery my prototype.

Re: I cannot install Ventuz5 on my windows.
Looks like a file access issue to me... have you tried running the installer from another location? The desktop, downloads folder or a c:\temp directory?
Craig.

Re: windows mixed reality
+1 on Hashim's question.... do the Windows MR headsets work?
A bit of Googling finds results that SteamVR definitely supports that class of device, but the forum threads on OpenVR are less clear.
Can anyone at Ventuz advise please, rather than one of us spending £400+ to find they don't work?

Re: Remoting4-Get DataItem value
The demos will help you with the basics, but the short answer is that you have to store the IIDs of the scenes as they are loaded when you activate your root scene. You can then pass in that IID along with the property name.
I hope that helps a little.
