12-04-2009, 16:10 LyCheSis Joined on 10-16-2009 Cologne Posts 9 Presenter not starting correctly Hi, we are having a strange problem with our presentation which we created with Ventuz Pro 2008 R5.18 p1. When starting the presentation with the Presenter the loading bar only goes a couple of pixels before stopping. Alt-Tabbing Windows into front seems to unblock the Presenter, which then continues loading in the background. If we switch back to the Presenter befor it finishes loading the bar goes all the way to the right side, but then switches the presentation to a completely white output (only showing our softedge masks). Switching to Windows and back again unblocks the Presenter and the presentation is displayed correctly. If we start again, switch to Windows and wait until the Presenter finishes to load the presentation in the background before switching back then the presentation is displayed correctly right away. It seems to lock up after initialising the Bezier Surfaces and before the TextureFonts are loaded. We've had referenced scenes from that project loading correctly with the Presenter, but the full presentation doesn't contain any referenced scenes anymore. We are a bit puzzled as to why the Presenter acts up like this. We've already run our presentation from the Designer many times but now wanted to use the Presenter to get better performance. We started the presentation a dozen times without any problems. A difference to your environment is that we do not have all used Quicktime movies which are referenced by relative pathes. We suspect that your problem could be somehow related to the QT movies. Could you make some tests with a version of your presentation which does not contain any QT movies. Then I eliminate all QT and voila, the presenter file starts as he should. Is this a general problem QT - OS 64bit? joschy    Report

Could you test your QT scene with this new Dll. Just replace the Ventuz.Kernel.dll in the Ventuz installation folder. Cheers Karol    Report
