Scroll Text with edge blend in screen shaper

As text is wrapped around to the left edge of the display, the outgoing text appears in the blend on the right edge.

Hi Colin,
this is not a bug. If you use soft edge in Ventuz, you must render the scene on a render target texture (as you obviously did) - when doing that you also need at least two parts on two shapes and properly map the RT on them. You screen shot only shows the entire render target and the soft edge show the texture repetition. Add a strip mapper node and set the width to two. This will only show the left (or right) part of the scene and the edge between them will be soft edged.

Thanks Ralph,
I see the error of my ways - I think!!
Had not used the strip mapper before and after a lot of playing around I got it to work. Had to set the tile index of the mapper on right hand screen to 1 to make it work. What is the index value, apart from move the image across?
Is there any advantage in using the strip mapper to the way you show the 2d mapping in the soft edge tutorial in Tutorial level 3?
