Copy and paste function for keyframes

I was wondering about, that there is no way to copy (Ctrl+c) and paste (Ctrl+v) keyframes in timeline. At my last project I had to animate alot of different objects but in the same way. Workflow would be much faster if you could copy and paste the keyframes from one "layer" to another, like in may other keyframe based applications.
Or am I wrong?
