Key framing Video in the timeline

Hello all,
We have a video which is 720 by 576 and last for 28 seconds.
We want to merge this intro video with our ventuz scene at the beginning of the timeline and fade out at the end revealing the scene.
We don't want to use triggers :)
We have tried using Image sequence but takes to much memory any ideas ?
Thanks :)

shelim also asked that in another thread. i am only going to write in this one. you can only do that with the methods. there is no other way and you do not nead another anyway. start the playback of the movie by triggering the play method of the movie at frame 0. switch the animation timeline view to 25 frames (in the pull-down menu in the Animation Editor) in order to have a proper timecode description. move the timeline marker to e.g. 27 seconds and animate the alpha for that movie from 27 to 28 seconds.
