Alpha on 3d object
Hi im having a few issues with the alpha beeing applied to a 3d object, basically i have a rectangle with an alpha on and i add another rectangle with the same alpha and position it in the z axis so i can see through the object, but if i bring the second rectangle forward i cant see through it to see the other rectangle unless the first rectangle is in front of the second one. does any one have an example i can have a look at or reffer to?

kind regards

shelim

Hi Shelim!

Although i didn't understand where the actual problem is, i attached a very simple demo scene. Maybe you can make it more specific or upload your scene for more help? If you work with the "Alpha" color-node, try to shift the geometry in the hierarchy editor above the others. Or maybe you can work with the "Render"-nodes alpha options.

Good luck

Moritz

Hi Shelim,

You have to respect the Z-order of the objects. The drawing order is defined by the order in the Hierarchy Tree. You only can see "through" objects if something is drawn behind already.

Hope I've got you correctly.

Ralf
