Hi all,
it's a long time I don't write something about Ventuz experience, the true is that I don't use a lot this software, only for 3d basic slideshows...
I do architectural 3d realtime presentations using other softwares because they connect to 3ds Max directly importing full baked scenes.
I have do to tests using collada format with 4.9 release next week.
The most important thing, I want to create with Ventuz, is realtime stereo presentations.
Samsung built a new plasma 3d display that uses the checkerboard image technology 100/120hz (ntsc/pal) alternate frames, and has a sync output for shutter glasses.
This is now a lightweight and cheaper solution to carry a real 3d 50" display, enough large to entertain 5-8 people.
I don't use dlp projectors to show my presentations but only my 17" laptop and a powerful 512mb nvidia card.
My questions are:
it's possible to do stereo presentation with Ventuz?
do i need to create a stereo camera node?
does Ventuz need DDD sdk to generates checkerboard image to be compatible with Samsung dlp/plasma technology?
it's possible to create nodes to simulate this type of image?

Hi Gabriele,
Nvidia has a so called GeForce 3D Stereo Driver.
But I don't know if it will do the job.

Hi Karol, unfortunately the new Nvidia stereo driver doesn't support XP64.
I got an Nvidia Quadro FX4600 and I could enable stereo mode, but I don't have yet a stereo shutter glasses.
But a different way exist to enable stereo on Ventuz:
I downloaded the beta iZ3D driver, I installed it on my laptop (Nvidia 7900GS 512Mb) and I saw Ventuz in 3d stereo!!!!!...but in anaglyph mode only...
Unfortunately this driver is unstable and calling the configurations (via num keypad) anaglyph image sometime disappears.
iZ3D it's like a 3d stereo wrapper that translates directx calls.
I know that iZ3D will develop a professional driver to enable to stereo 3d many applications.
