Unhandled exception in designer

About once or twice an hour (during intensive work) the designer (Pro 4.6) throws an unhandled exception and terminates immediately. Occasionally the crash is accompanied by red crosses on several parts of the user interface. This bug is new to 4.6, I never noticed it on older versions and my machine config didn't change.
The crash happens during various tasks but mostly when I drag a property from the properties window to a content node (i.e. create a new binding) and also when I try to open the "save as..." dialog. Since it happens irregularly it might be related to a threading (synchronization) problem? Did you update the third party UI libraries since 4.4?
I wonder if there are other users who observed the same?

Hi RalPH,
other users and us faced this problem already, but we were unable to reproduce it. And yes, it only happens in 4.6
We'll check the change history to see what this could be - but in 4.5 to 4.6 we didn't change anything UI related.
So this gonna be again a hard tracking procedure :(
we'll keep you informed! If you find a way to reproduce the bug - please let us know!

Hi Ralf,
The crashes might be related to the newly introduced flashing exclamation sign in the messages tab. I had frequent crashes as long as I was working on a script causing various messages in the log. Now as I'm finished with the script and no more messages are showing up the system seems to be stable.

it seems to be the blinking icon of the Message Window. To avoid crashes, please turn the Message Window invisible!
We'll fix that a.s.a.p!
