Reference footage

When you create a scene and you import stuff like, videos, texts, images, the reference option is in default off state because Ventuz needs to have copied all the stuff in its directory structure.

In the case I have two videos on one external dedicated video hd, four pictures on a pen drive...one text on the desktop, and so on.. If I check the reference option and then I try to build an archive of the current scene I can't add in a second step all the scene's stuff. Ventuz build the archive but only referencing all the footage (referenced). Would be nice to relink the reference footage like not referenced in a second time when it's necessary...only to build the archive.

Another interesting feature woul be to see a list of all the footage inside the scene and have the possibility to relink it. Also a list of nodes divided for families present in the scene it's useful. For example opening Ventuz Intro Scene I tried to search the audio node, I found it on animation timeline but not in the Content window, I opened all the nodes but I was not lucky...:)

For example If I delete a file referenced and I load a scene that contains that file Ventuz give me an error. Would be nice that Ventuz tell me where is the missing file and if I don't want to relink it automatically (because the artist has preparing it) add a generic blank texture with a pattern and a text that says "missing"

Regards

Gabriele

Re: Reference footage
Very nice suggestions. I will combine your suggestions with what we already have in our feature request list.

By the way, you can use the Find and Replace dialog [CTRL+F] to search for nodes and replace properties, resources, etc. Check the manual "Getting Started" > "The User Interface" > "Find/Replace" for more help. With the Find option you would have easily found the Audio node.

Cheers
Chris
