05-15-2007, 10:22 Desired Username Joined on 02-06-2007 Germany Posts 50 .Net remoting causes Ventuz to hang Good Morning, we have run into a nasty problem with .Net remoting (VB.Net). When we run the control application and the broadcast presenter on the same machine, once in a while Ventuz hangs. When running the applications (control software and in this case the PLE) on two different machines, I  have not seen this happen. Also, in the past, we have run both parts of a .Net remote solution (i.e. "controller" and "controllee") on the same machine in the past with no problems. This appears to happen in moments, which do not have anything to do with the remotinig parts of the application, e.g. a ComboBox opens its drop down box or a dialog window is opened. The control software was written using Visual Studio 2005. The control software loads and validates the scene, sets various properties (no batching) and calls methods.  No events or "get property  values" are used.
