I'm doing a lot of experiment with videos with every codec...
I think that the node that translates frames to texture is not ok....I see a lot of drop frames.
I's necessary to find a solution because I need to playback smooth videos

We made tests with clips up to 1080p on regular PCs using DivX6 and ffdshow and had no frame drops. We tested many other codecs as well, including MPEG1,2,4, WMV, XVid, DiVX, Canopus, ... Many, many projects have been created with Ventuz with a lot of movies being played back at various resolutions and in various formats and even several movies at the same time - without any problems or frame drops.
Try playing a regular MPEG1 clip (384x288, 1MBit) mapped on a rectangle in an empty scene in exclusive Fullscreen mode (deactivate Virtual Fullscreen in the Project Settings). Does this playback on your system without frame drops? What codecs did you test? And more importantly, what resolutions are they? Final tests for your movie playback have to be done in the Presenter. Working in the Designer GUI can cause frame drops as well. And remember that high resolution videos are very demanding on the CPU.

I did tests with WMV, MPG2 and DivX, (mpg1 it's bad, never used Canopus) using ffdshow codec.
The videos are 720x576 25fps 3mbit about each
If I create a scene with 3 videos ffdshow opens 3 instance of the codecs (I see them on the task bar) and everything crash...Ventuz too.
My graphic board (you know) it's an Nvidia Go7900 GS with 512Mb
Do you think it's a problem related to the Nvidia driver? (rel 80.0.0)
Remember that problem I told you about the refresh of Ventuz dialog windows...

I don't think it is drive related. You could (and probably should) update to the latest version but I don't think that wil have any effect. And the Ventuz dialog refresh issue you experienced is also not related to that.
I suggested MPEG1 not because of quality, but to check the performance for playing back one or more clips at the same time. You might get into trouble playing back three PAL WMV streams, but that also depends on the codec used and the performance of your system. WMV9 Advanced Profile is not recommended for more than one movie. For three such videos I suggest you use DivX6. Encode them at around 2-3 MBit. That should be more than enough. Selecte the high performance or balanced encoding mode. In the video decoder configuration for ffdshow open the 'Info & Debug' category. Choose 'no limitations' for the setting 'Multiple ffdshow instances'. I made a test with three of those DivX6 encoded movies at 3MBit with those settings. If you still have problems with the playback, use MPEG1. You can encode movies with MPEG1 at almost nay resolustion and bitrate. I encoded a movie once at 1440x1050 with 16MBit in MPEG1 so I could use it as a highres background clip with Ventuz graphics in front.
By the way, with the Canopus codec I actually meant the Camtasia codec, which is used for screen capturing. Sorry about the mix-up.
