Ventuz 2006 Release 4.3 available

We are proud to announce the immediate availability of Ventuz 2006 R4.3, the latest version of its standard application for designing, animating and authoring interactive real-time 3D graphics.

The latest release of Ventuz features Image Sequence playback in various formats, as well as several new Shaders. The Broadcast Runtime has been updated with a completely new user interface and message logging. R4.3 also offers several workflow enhancements such as Autosave, additional selection and copy operations as well as progress indicators for importing and exporting archives and presentations.

With the launch of Ventuz 2006 R4.3, a new demo project is also released, focusing on advanced graphical effects such as Depth of Field. Every scene is fully documented for Ventuz users to learn and use in their own projects. The new Ventuz Demo Project 2 can be downloaded from the download area on the Ventuz website.

Ventuz 2006 R4.3 is now available for download for all Ventuz Editions, including the Ventuz Personal Learning Edition (PLE) from the Registered Users area on the Ventuz website.

 

Release Notes for Ventuz 2006 R4.3:

 

FEATURE   Property Editor displays relative change of multi-selected properties while scrubbing

FEATURE   AutoSave feature. The Ventuz Designer is now saving all open scenes in a configurable interval (optional)

FEATURE   The Broadcast Runtime has been updated with a message log window and an improved interface.

FEATURE   New edit function in Hierarchy Editor: Select Sibling (Ctrl-Q) selects all sibling nodes of the current HE selection.

FEATURE   AutoBegin for Animation/StateMachine. Animation invokes the Begin method if AutoBegin is enabled and the Scene is activated.

FEATURE   Added Edge Detection Shader Node

FEATURE   Added Halftone Shader Node

FEATURE   Added simple Chroma Key Shader Node. This Shader is experimental and will change in the future.

FEATURE   Introducing new feature: Ventuz can playback a sequence of images as a texture now (TGA/TIF/PNG/... sequences)

FEATURE   The Counter Node has a new Step property to change increase/descrease value to a higher value. Additionally we've added an Autorun method to start the counter from 'Begin' increased by 'Step' every 'Interval' frames rendered!

FEATURE   Performing a Copy/Paste operation on nodes which end on numerical values (e.g. Sphere001) will automatically increment the node name for each additional copy (e.g. Sphere002, Sphere003 ,...).

FEATURE   Remoting: Introducing a new remote method on the scene object: Validate() Use this method to load all it's resource into memory even if it is not activated in the render output. Use "validate" on Command Line Interface.

FEATURE   The Ventuz Designer is now automatically checking for software updates. (optional)

FEATURE   New ProgressBar for Import/Export archives.

CHANGE   The Delay Node was extended by the property Enabled to enable/disable the storage of new input values. This makes it possible to save a certain value with the Delay Node.

CHANGE   Simple Control Node connects to the first Slice automatically

CHANGE   SystemID Node has been extened by a property providing information about the current Ventuz Edition during runtime.

BUG   When importing 3DS objects, the UV coordinates were ignored. This is fixed now!

BUG   Underscores in OSC-Addresses are now accepted.

BUG   Clipping node generated some strange effects. Validation order fixed now.

BUG   Browse Button when configuring Project Font didn't work. Fixed!

BUG   Animation Editior: excessive Zoom-Out of the Logic View caused a crash of the editor. Fixed.

BUG   Animation Editor crashed while editing keyframes for nested animations if controlled animation have multiple connections with the same name. Fixed.
